Meads Bay Beach Villas

“In January 2014, my wife and I stayed at Meads Bay Beach Villas (Villa 4) for our honeymoon. It was beyond incredible, and I’ve always regretted not writing the review it deserved…||After that trip, we explored other islands (Saint Lucia, Turks) thinking maybe we were missing something. We weren’t. Nothing has ever compared to Anguilla. For years, we dreamed of returning to Meads Bay with our kids.||This past February break we finally did, and it was the trip of a lifetime, due in no small part to Connor, Joan, and the entire team who make MBBV feel like home.||The location cannot be beat. MBBV sits perfectly in the center of Meads Bay, our favorite all-around beach on the island. Cap Juluca is stunning and absolutely worth visiting, but we believe Meads Bay offers the best “home base” experience thanks to its size, insane beach, and incredible walkability to restaurants and resorts.||On one end sits Malliouhana, a beautiful property with great dining options. On the other is Four Seasons, which felt a bit formal for our style and, in our opinion, not as strong a value for a day pass compared to Aurora (which offers pools, water slides, sports courts, and a ton of family-friendly amenities). Right next door to MBBV is Frangipani and its beachfront restaurant, Straw Hat. We had breakfast there almost every morning and would do it that way again: they offer spectacular food, great variety, and unbeatable beach views (kids can run free). They also provide food and drink service directly to your beach chairs as the day progresses, which adds another layer of convenience to the MBBV experience. A short walk down the beach is Blanchards Beach Shack — still just as delicious as it was 13 years ago. It’s an ideal lunch spot with kids (milkshakes, rum punches, shade, and space to run).||The villas themselves are spacious, immaculate, and clearly well maintained with thoughtful upgrades over the years. Daily housekeeping (except Sundays) includes fresh bath and beach towels, plus pool service. Villa 4’s two-bedroom layout worked perfectly for our family of four (kids 9 and 5).||Connor and Joan were instrumental in making the trip seamless. From restaurant reservations (don’t miss Karraya, Veya, Da’Vida), to arranging a smooth car rental with Gumbsie, to organizing a fantastic boat charter through Funtime, they helped us create an itinerary that felt accomplished but still relaxed (plan your morning activities and go back to the beach to chill by the villa in the afternoon)…and gave us memories our family will treasure forever. ||We won’t wait another 12 years to come back.”

“This was our second time to Anguilla and second time staying at Meads Bay Beach Villas. Both times we stayed in Villa #3. We absolutely love this place. The beach at Meads this time around was by far the nicest stretch of sand and water on the island. The pools in front of each Villa are a nice touch and our kids loved it. We have researched other Villas / accommodations near by and looked at a few while on our trip. At this price point there isn’t anything that even comes close to what you get here. This is the kind of place you are pretty much left alone to enjoy peace and quiet. Although on the other hand what ever you want / need, all you have to do is ask. Connor and Joan will make whatever you are looking for a reality. I requested a rental car at arrival and it was at our Villa when we arrived. They even built a bonfire for our kids and included s’mores that evening. So nice to have a private villa, totally separate room for the kids and everyone has their on bath / shower. The master included an outdoor shower which is very nice and a must for us. We have traveled a lot of different islands, a lot of different hotels / villas, and this one is a must for us every couple years. If you are looking for a party scene at a large resort this isn’t the place for you. If you want privacy, peace and quite, on one of the nicest stretches of beach we have a ever experienced, then give this place a try. I would be very surprised if you regret it.”

“Our recent stay at Meads Bay Beach Villas was extraordinary. The villas themselves are clean and spacious. Each villa has a private pool, and the beach looked like a magazine cover. Having access to the villa’s full kitchen was a great option, though we often walked to the restaurant next door (Straw Hat), where we had smoothies and hash brown patties (to die for!) every morning before beach walks. Big thanks to Joan and her team, who organized seamless boat transfers to and from the St. Maarten airport, fridge stocks, and an incredible bbq dinner/bonfire for our group. We were with friends, but the trip doubled as a baby moon for us. I can’t wait to go back when I’m not pregnant to have some rum punch! Could easily bring the kids too.”

“What can we say? It was an absolute beautiful time spent! From discussions early on before arriving through planning and the entire time there the staff was incredibly helpful. Connor and Joan were instrumental and helping us enjoy our time away. The villa itself is perfectly situated, and on the most beautiful beach I’ve seen. They set up inside. The Villa is extremely comfortable with plenty of space. |Surrounded by fantastic restaurants, and war people. Call and ask for Connor. He will steer you in the right direction. |House cleaning was great, they even stocked your fridge before arrival if you provide them with a detailed list. Can’t say enough good things about it.”
