“Songbird Villa is an absolute dream come true! I stayed here with my husband and our two children on our 2nd trip to the island and there are not enough words to describe how impressive this villa is but I will try… Upon arrival we went straight to Songbird, it is only about a 15 minute drive from the airport and is easy to find (and unlike many places we’ve been to on the island we didn’t feel like we needed 4 wheel drive to get there because most of the roads are paved and where they aren’t paved it isn’t too rocky and bumpy). There are a few steps up to the main entrance as well as a walkway from the driveway directly to the pool area (super convenient for when we had friends over to the pool but didn’t want to have people inside). Inside the main entrance is a spacious, well-appointed, multi level great room with no detail spared and water views from every window! It was immediately evident that the owners of this villa take pride in it and don’t take any short cuts when taking care of it. Everything was cleaned spotless, the appliances are newer, and the decor is luxurious while simultaneously giving off vacation vibes and making us feel right at home. The kitchen is well equipped and offers both island seating and a dining table, the tv area off to side was perfect for our movie night with the kids, and there is a screened porch which made for a great space to take a quiet phone call while still being able to keep my eyes on everything going on in the house. There were only 4 of us staying but now that we know the size and layout of the great room we hope to come back with friends next year and use all the bedrooms because it can definitely fit two families comfortably. Off the great room are multiple sliding doors leading out to the pool area where I found the biggest, most comfortable sun loungers I had ever seen and plenty of space at the patio table to sit down for dinner and drinks, smell the salty air, and feel the breeze. There was always the most perfect breeze out by the pool so that even on the hottest days I was comfortable! The main entrance to Rendezvous Beach is just steps from the villa and the beach does not disappoint! This is my favorite beach on the island with calm waters, sand stretching for what seems like miles, and just enough restaurants and beach bars to have a fun vibe without drawing such a crowd that it gets overwhelming. The kids loved the pizza and chicken fingers at the Anguilla Great House and the snapper at Sunshine Shack is perfection! Seriously, I couldn’t get enough of it. My only regret is that we only stayed for 10 days. Our next visit will need to be at least 2 weeks!”
